2018 Petite Sirah

100% Petite Sirah
Soil Type: Linne Clay Loam - this whitish gray soil contains limestone pieces beginning 18”-24” below the surface. The presence of limestone captures and preserves the freshness in this wine, and being a heavier soil lends itself to a rounder mouthfeel.
Tasting notes: This wine is dark and sultry; blood orange, clove, and conifer-green build the aromatics. The palate rushes in with juicy pomegranate, blueberry, and black cherry. It finishes long and structured, with black clay, cranberry freshness and allspice.
Harvested between October 1St and October 22nd.
Aged in new and neutral barrels and 400 liter puncheons for 18 months.
